A round up of bags…

So life happens ..that will explain my absence from my blog posts, so let’s start a fresh and jump right into it…

The best way to get things going is with CHANEL.. In bags… From the new Chanel collection launch with winter / fall …

And the arm Kandy that caught my eye was …

The Seasonal reissue.2.55 flap …in Caviar…dual quilts…gold hardware ..double flap! Simply stunning…but thats just my opinion😉

After that bit of excitement… It was time to do a “one outfit” test ..which bags work with one outfit…

Leggings..sandals..long T-shirt & denim jacket….casual outfit (Zara)… Now to see which bags suits the outfit ….

I can happily say all 5 bags go perfectly with this outfit…The look i liked the most was with the Medium Mulberry Lily -oxblood..(bottom left pic)…and yes I know your probably thinking ..Mulberry over Chanel Jumbo…= Crazy lady!!!…but hear me out.. The Lily just is super light in weight and actually holds a little more than the Chanel Jumbo..without looking to bulky…the only minus point for the Lily was that there is no back slip pocket on the back of the bag…whereas  the Jumbo I can slip my phone into the back pocket.

After that one outfit challenge …it was time the think autumn shoes…..I’ve been after booties/low ankle boots …and picked up these from Clark’s..yeah nothing fancy or breaking the bank balance …but hey they work…

To me they seem to fit the bill..neutral autumnal shoe/boot..pair it with jeans or skinny jeans..and your good to go…

This week also meant an outing for bags that haven’t had much of an outing…your probably thinking why am I referring to my bags as if they are beings that have been neglected??🙄🤔…well that’s a long story but anyone who knows me.. knows I eat sleep and breathe bags…so that should kind of explain my craziness .

Oh and let me fill you in on a Little H purchase..nothing crazy but it serves its purpose well..

A Hermes Bastia coin purse in Blue Agate , Epsom leather ..

The Epsom leather is very durable and keeps its structure…so far I have not babied the coin purse..it was this or the Louis Vuitton round coin purse..opted for Hermes as it was a little different and more appealing to me.Also scratch resistant ..so that was a plus for me .

The last past two months have been a little hectic with trips to London and family vacations…..

Let’s sum up the family vacation..first time in Portugal and we all absolutely loved it ..and we also found Coco …- I can go anywhere and I will always find Chanel … So here is creation that will have you admiring the amount of work ..all hand sculpted..in Europe’s largest Sand art exhibition..

With beautiful beaches and awesome sunsets.. The family vacation was a success..

Then  came an over night stay in London with my mum..We visited Harrods.mainly and few smaller boutiques…one day is a little short to fit in the sights…so in true shopaholic style..we spent several hours in ..Harrods… Magical …

A visit to the Chanel counter where mum made a purchase..- first ever Chanel and it was the Jumbo caviar gold hardware flap bag .

Going to Chanel for my birthday and buying this was next level incredible. £3760 but worth every penny.:

Now of course I was at hand to inspect the bag and requested to examine several jumbo classic flaps before “we ” made the all important purchase.  Now this was an “investment” buy in my mums defense…so lets see how it goes….if it was me I would walk out wearing the bag out of the store in sheer excitement.

As you would have guessed by now I am not the patient type .

Going back to the classic flap – Jumbo / Caviar /Gold Hardware/Black…

It is an effortlessly chic handbag and will stand the test of time.. like many Chanel fanatics it will most probably be passed down the family and with the price increases Chanel have had in 2016 its a good place to put your money.

I will be honest with you and the Jumbo is heavy, I recently carried my Chevron Jumbo Flap for an entire weekend and that too cross-body…I quickly learnt that the strap can become very uncomfortable especially if it’s a warm day and your not wearing layers to pad you shoulders….like you would in winter with a coat or jumper.

I know it sounds a little extreme but my curiosity  got the better of me and so I loaded my Chevron jumbo up with my bare essentials – as shown in the photo. img_20160725_084327.jpg

Lv Cles / Lv pochette / Chanel card holder / umbrella / Hermes Bastia coin purse… this is basically what I carry daily in all of my handbags, so its actually very minimal and my phone ..So after loading up the bag I weighed the bag and the scales read 3.9 kg !!! that’s a lot of weight to have on one shoulder and even when worn cross-body the chain digs in…this is my only draw back of the bag. Now I wore the bag when the weather got a little autumnal and the extra layers seemed to have helped when worn cross-body and even single chained ….

If you carry less than what I do then the Medium/Large will work for you especially if your not a cross-body bag person.. At the moment i currently have my heart set on a Maxi and I know your thinking I just stated how heavy the Jumbo is, so why go for the Maxi ; welcome to my madness that’s all I can say …   To me the Maxi will be my  statement bag as i’m keen to get in Black Caviar leather with gold hardware . It is a big bag and heavy too but I will adapt to it  and then today I have been researching the medium/large flap bags .  Lets back track to August when I visited Chanel -Harrods and I  looked at the small as I knew the Mini flap bag would not work for me and the small was not anymore pleasing to me either, my reasoning behind the m/l will be..  for formal / everyday as it is not too in your face, and also it is a good size to carry around as I now have figured out what are my absolute handbag essentials.  It is the perfect day & night bag . Not to mention so light weight.. That’s why the Maxi size may have to wait a while before it graces my bag collection .

Here is a little research I carried out so you can see the dimensions of the classic flaps .
